Plagiarism Policy

To uphold academic integrity, all submitted manuscripts to Matsnawi: Journal of Tasawwuf and Psychotherapy Studies are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin to ensure originality and to identify potential overlaps with existing published works.

Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding the acceptable threshold of 20% excluding references, or manuscripts containing evidence of plagiarism, may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected outright.

Plagiarism may include, but is not limited to, the use of another person’s ideas, words, data, images, tables, or other materials without proper acknowledgement. The journal also considers inappropriate paraphrasing, duplicate publication, and excessive text overlap without sufficient citation as forms of unethical academic practice.

This plagiarism screening process reflects the journal’s commitment to maintaining academic integrity, publication ethics, and good practices in scholarly publishing.
